Unvisual - Stickers

Unvisual is a crazy-assed band that went on a hiatus for a couple of years. They're back practicing and have started playing shows again. It'd be cool to do some artwork for them, so i volunteered to do some stuff.
Mr Ibrahim and I worked closely in the art direction and it's been a positive challenge, understanding and executing the cool ideas he had in the direction of the band's vision. The first 3 pictures above were drafts of the sticker series idea Mr Ibrahim came up with, which was cutting up and messing with the placements of the visuals we had for the t-shirt. The following pictures were shots of the final stickers and its compilation in a package. They will be on sale at the JB show today.

Do drop by http://unvisual.bandcamp.com to check them out. Follow them on Facebook for updates on their progress, shows, etc. Click here to view the design for their shirt.

Black Field

Jon Chan

It has been a while since the last time we hung out. Bumped into him after school earlier this week and we went for lunch. He's an avid bird watcher, which is some what a foreign hobby amongst our peers, so i had to get some insight on this current interest and i was amazed by the stories he had. He has nice shots of the birds he shot, so if you're on facebook, drop by here.

Quiet Night

Didn't have time (or lack of its management) to upload some shots taken the past few days, so here's a series. This came from a need to be productive, wanting to get stuff done.

Motivated by peers, there's this need to get stuff done, to publish new works and the opportunities to satisfy these needs are aplenty, specially via the camera. The series above was one of those oppurtunities on a late night.

It's Hard Coming up With Titles For Blog Entries Sometimes.

Spent most of the day walking with Dewi. We went to Kallang, to check the old airport out, but entry has been restricted. Upon Dewi's suggestion, we went to OldKallang Airport Road, and did some shots there. Mine didn't turn out well but Dewi had nice ones. Check it out here. Met up with Joseph and spent the night around CBD / Chinatown. Celtics was so close to winning earlier, but Mavs managed to pull through. Good game nonetheless.

I've updated the designs i did for Skate Jawn on my website, so if you want to check it out, click here. Thanks for dropping by.

Dewi / Helloembrace.org

This is Dewi Marie. She takes photos (I think i got to know about the Day19 site through her) and makes nice craft stuff. Do drop by her site, Hello Embrace (she recently made some nice scarves and it's for sale at her site).

Familia.

Been beaten a lot in PES 2011, but it's still a whole lot of fun. It's not that fun when a team you play against has Kaka, Ronaldo, Ibrahamovich and some big time superstars. But it's much more tolerable when the player using it is nice. Been frequenting a small shop selling pasta lately too, Vintage Deli (thanks to Dewi Marie), at Bussorah St i think. Nice service, very relaxed vibe and generous portions.

Contribured some artwork to the nice folks at Skate Jawn. They are an independent online & offline publication that focuses on skateboarding. Do drop by their site to check out the back issues. And if i'm not wrong, a new issue is coming out this weekend. Will update the Black Emperor site with the works soon.

Thanks for viewing folks.

Kayuh Kuat Kuat - Part 3

Documented the Kayuh Kuat Kuat ride and it was something else. It rained a lot and the riders braved through the weather to clock in about 100km, which was amazing. Sham got me into Rapha videos and I like it a lot. You should check it out to. Thanks for your time folks.

Kayuh Kuat Kuat

Here are some shots taken during the Kayuh Kuat Kuat's cycling trip yesterday. It was an amazing feat, covering the distance they did, in the rain. Thanks for having me in the team guys! A big shout out also to the mates in the car, Mr Ibrahim and Miss Su. Hope to update more soon. Thanks folks.

Ang Mo Kio Banks

Been thinking about shooting stuff around my area, and figured that it'd be a cool idea to drop by the banks on my way home. I remember being afraid of playing on these banks, when i first started skating. I don't know how much of that has changed since then, but i'm still proud to have this iconic spot in my hood.

Later blader hater.

Nice one Berbatov

Was out with Dewi earlier. Check her site out http://www.helloembrace.org, she's selling some nice scarves she made, so do drop by. Shots above taken with an LX-3 and a tripod.
